1. No Financial Advice

Metropolis provides economic, institutional, and financial data for informational and educational purposes only. None of the data, charts, numbers, or visualizations displayed within the Metropolis application constitute financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. You should not make any financial or investment decisions based on the information in this app. Always consult with a licensed financial professional.

2. Data Sources and Disclaimers

Metropolis aggregates data from public and institutional feeds, including the Federal Reserve Economic Data (FRED), the Bank for International Settlements (BIS), and Eurostat.

• As-Is Basis: All data is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We do not warrant or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, sequencing, timeliness, or fitness for any purpose of the data displayed.
• Data Vulnerabilities: Economic indicators and market metrics are subject to rapid change, transmission delays, API service disruptions, or source errors. Metropolis is not responsible for any broken data feeds, lagged numbers, or omissions.

Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms or our privacy practices at any time to reflect app updates, new features (such as analytics or account creation), or legal requirements. Your continued use of Metropolis after updates constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

3. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the creators of Metropolis shall not be liable to you or any third party for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages. This includes, without limitation, trading losses, lost profits, financial setbacks, or business interruptions resulting directly or indirectly from your use of Metropolis, reliance on the numbers shown, or any technical downtime of the app or its source APIs. You use this data entirely at your own risk.

4. Institutional Attributions & Non-Endorsement

• FRED®: This application utilizes the FRED® API but is not endorsed or certified by the Federal Reserve Bank
• BIS: Data sourced from the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) is used under its unrestricted statistical terms. Metropolis is an independent application; its usage does not imply any endorsement or affiliation by the BIS or its member central banks.
• Eurostat: Data sourced from Eurostat is reused in accordance with the European Commission's open data policies. The European Union and Eurostat bear no responsibility or liability for the delivery, formatting, or accuracy of the data displayed within Metropolis.

Privacy Policy for Metropolis

1. Zero Data Collection

Metropolis is built with user privacy as a core principle. We do not require account creation, logins, or user profiles. We do not collect, harvest, store, or share any personally identifiable information (PII), device identifiers, location data, or IP addresses.

2. Third-Party API Connections

Metropolis fetches economic and financial data from public sources, either via direct API connections or pre-fetched data files. These are purely inbound data requests; Metropolis does not collect or transmit your personal data. Standard network information such as your IP address may be visible to data providers as part of normal HTTP requests, but is not collected or stored by Metropolis.

3. No Advertising or Analytics

Metropolis does not host third-party advertising networks, nor do we run background behavioral tracking analytics.
